Principal performs the duties of the Head of the office at the institute level.
Principal is responsible for overall planning and management of the academic and administrative activities of the institute.
Principal is responsible for optimal utilization of resources.
He is the implementing authority of plans and policies of the Govt. notified from time to time.
Principal is competent authority of all cases of group D employees.
Cases of group A,B&C cases also require the Head of the institute (Principal) for the final approval at the Head office.
To sanction formal join approval of all employees of the institute.
To grant, leave to all non-gazetted staff of the institute.
To grant casual leave to all staff of the institute.
To issue experience certificate to all non-gazetted staff of the institute.
To sanction recurring expenditure.
Drawing and dispersing of salaries.
Drawing and dispersing of all contingency bills.
Maintain the discipline among staff and students.
   
 

HOD

To keep track of attendance of staff and students of their respective departments.
To make alternative arrangements of classes for which faculty is absent/on leave.
To prepare time table and provide class rooms for the conducting the classes.
To keep track of the syllabus covered by the faculty in their respective subject.
To allocate subjects to the faculty.
To report progress of the student to their parents in time.
To offer guidance and council the students.
To initiate actions based on the feedback from faculty, students, industry and alumni.

Faculty

To prepare lesson plan for the instruction of classes allocated.
To teach diploma course including lectures laboratory and tutorials.
Student’s assessment, evaluation and examination work of PSBTE&IT.
Planning and implementation of instruction in laboratory.
Developing resource material and curricula.
To report the progress of students to the HOD.
To provide guidance ,counseling to the students and helping in their character development.
To give requirements for industrial training in needed areas to HOD.
To submit the requirements for updating knowledge and skills of staff to suit curriculum needs to the HOD.
To maintain a log book of instruction delivered.
To review the lesson plan from time to time.
To submit requirements for equipment/consumables required for conducting practical as per curriculum.

To organize industrial training for teachers and other faculty and other training in the relevant field to the supporting staff and students.
To arrange industrial visits for students and staff.
To arrange induction training program for the faculty.
To arrange entrepreneurship development programs.
To arrange industrial visits of experts for counseling of students and staff.
To arrange experts lectures for students.
To arrange seminars, debates, declamation contest with the assistance of concerned faculty members.
To arrange industrial training for students and monitor their evaluation during training and arrange externals evaluation through industrial experts for implant training.
To provide counseling for personality development of students.
To provide / arrange carrier guidance and job placement to students.
To establish liaison with industries other agencies providing placement to the students through personal visits, telephone and correspondence.
To identify and suggest the department in defining the training areas.
To assist the concerned officers in designing the curriculum and implementing the same by proper feedback from the industry.
To make the students and staff aware about the latest technology advancement.
To maintain the students record and directory of industries promoting the placements.

Administration Office

To assist the Principal in day to day administration.
To maintain the service record of all the staff working in the Polytechnic.
To maintain the records of the students for their admission, scholarship, category and examination as well as certification.
To circulate the policies of the Deptt. And govt.
To control accounts and budget as well as student fund.
To assist the Principal, purchase officer and committees to accept the purchase as per M.I.T. instruction and Deptt. Financial rules.
To assist the O/I Store to maintain the stock and issue of stock and keeping the stock account maintained.
To prepare the salary bills of the staff.
To prepare the pension cases of the staff retiring at the age of superannuating or seeking premature retirement.
To check the TA/DA bills of the staff.
To ensure timely dealing of all the correspondence.
To convene the meeting of all HOD OF DEPTT.
To collect tuition fee, student fund, development fund, hostel fee, examination fee.
To prepare the reply of court cases and attend the courts.
To ensure timely conduct of physical verification of the stores.
President culture society
To nominate the students and members of culture society.
To convene the meeting of culture society and prepare budget for the year.
To arrange culture activities, athletic meet, annual day function and welfare activities and purchase of medals etc.
