Student Recreation Committee

 
            Various extra-curricular, co-curricular and sports related activities of the students are looked after by this committee. The S.R.C. committee is constituted every year with the active participation of staff members & the students. The President and General Secretary of SRC are nominated among the staff members by the principal. Class representatives (CR’s) become the SRC members.
            The students of this college are in a habit of securing top positions not only in academics but also in extra-curricular, co-curricular and sports with the active involvement of all the staff members. The college secures first position in “Giddha” in the inter polytechnic youth festival and also got first position in the “Handball” in the inter polytechnic games.

Audiovisual Hall

The college can boast of well-designed and well-equipped Audio visual halls. These Audiovisual halls serve as a platform for conducting various lectures/seminars of prominent personalities from industrial as well as academic background. The Audio visual halls are equipped with Multimedia LCD projector, high quality sound system, over head projector, computer and internet access. After the end of every semester, the students undergo Industrial Training in various industries and corporations. After completing the training, they prepare their training reports and multimedia slides to represent their progress in the training. A Seminar is conducted in this hall for the same purpose

Hostel Facility (Girls)

The college has one girls hostel also accommodating almost about 100 girls student. The girl’s hostels also have been provided with modern kitchens, comfortable dinning halls and indoor games facilities. Newspapers, Magazines and Cable T.V.Facilities.

Labs & Equipment for Garment Technology & Fashion Design

Three years Garment Technology course trains the students to cater to management manpower needs of rapidly growing Garment Industry. This three years diploma program covers the aspects of optimal resource utilization and timely delivery of merchandising of to customers. The syllabus is practical based on class room and laboratory simulation of current factory and business trends. It includes business administration, garment designing, textile fabrics, drafting patterning style reading and adaptation, compute aided garment designing, information technology and techniques of production.
 
Labs & Workshops
        All courses have their own laboratories and workshops fully furnished with latest equipment's, gadgets, tools and sewing machines which offer enough opportunity to the students to expose and experiment. This leads to innovative ideas and professional proficiency in global market.
1. Textile Testing Laboratory
        The textile testing laboratory is equipped with various testing machine including projection microscope, Twist tester, Warp reel, Balances, Beesley's yarn balance, Sample analysis equipment's etc. sample analysis is carried out for the recognition of fabric defects, This lab helps the students of both the Diploma courses in selecting suitable fabrics and stitching material for different style and types of Garments according to latest trends for achieving total quality concept.
2. Pattern making-cum-construction labs
        Pattern making includes both drafting and garment construction with the help of pattern students makes different designs and styles according to the latest fashion trends. The subject includes dart manipulation, Draping, contouring and Grading etc. These labs are well equipped with industrial sewing machines and other pattern making tools.
3. Designing Labs
        The Institution has a facility of designing labs in which basic designing techniques like tie & dye, Block and Screen printing, human anatomy and costumes of different age groups of kids, men and women wears according to the tradition and latest fashion trends.
4. Computer Labs
        Computer labs of this Institution are well equipped and fully modernized. There are two features of these labs i.e., Information Technology and Computer Aided Garment Design. There is a facility of around 40 computers, Laser printers, network printers and dot metric printers colored plotter and Internet. Computers here are interconnected with each other through networking. Designing, drafting, Coral Draw, Auto Cad, Photo shop subjects are taught in these labs.

Power Section

        Power section is well equipped with latest machines like button hole stitch, button stitch, blind stitch, zigzag machine, four thread cutter machine, Jean machine, collar turning, cuff turning machine, over lock machine, fashion maker, umbrella machine, straight edge knife electric cutter, round knife electric cutter. The main objective of this section is to obtain the knowledge of latest machinery related to Garment Industry
